... come and see just how good food can taste.

Set in a idyllic location on the banks of the River Dee, the Boat Inn at Erbistock is the place to be.

This could simply be a drink in front of one of the fires putting the world to rights, a light lunch in our conservatory watching the swans swim by, or an evening meal in the main Restaurant.

Whether its an intimate table for two or a party of 10 or more, the Boat is a memorable experience for everybody.

The Boat is a 16th Century building historically renowned for its ferry crossing over the River Dee, and the landing stage and the windlass used to draw it are still in position. It has been said that during the the civil war Oliver Cromwell stayed at the Boat and drew up his plans to take Chester.

Today, the oak beams, stone flags and open fireplaces are still here providing an exceptionally unique atmosphere and making the boat the perfect setting for every occasion.
